About Jason

I have been in the user experience field for over 10 years, including in the fields of transportation, banking, and education. Throughout, I have served the roles of interaction designer, product designer, UX researcher, and prototyper. I am adept in improving workflows, and making user experiences more usable, useful and delightful. This is usually a collaborative effort with various stakeholders, including end users, business analysts, developers, visual designers, and executives.

At my current role, I have designed award-winning applications for managing truck and bus fleets. These fleets range from dozens to thousands of vehicles. I have also been fortunate to take on a mentoring role with other UX designers, and to spread the word about the value of UX to various roles in the company.

When I am not crafting user experiences, I enjoy a variety of hobbies. I am a music connoisseur, focusing on new wave and other '80s music. Duran Duran and Squeeze are a couple of my favorite bands. You may see me hit the karaoke circuit now and then, singing new wave and other songs. I follow sports to some degree, particularly baseball. And I love cooking and eating ethnic cuisine, including Thai and Ethiopian dishes. I have lived in Chicago for over 10 years and love its vibrant city culture.
